There are always new situations that arise. This leak was tracked down next to this building. Further study indicated that it was directly beneath this electrical system grounding rod.

 

 

The ground rod had been pounded into the ground and through the older steel water main. Instead of spraying upward around the ground rod, it traveled through the sandy soil to a nearby drainage ditch and kept the ditch swampy even during the driest of weather.
