We know that water always takes the path of least resistance. This is actually what causes the problem of undetected underground water leakage.

 

In this instance, water was traveling under the street and then dumping into a storm sewer. During the course of the survey we encountered this leak. After pinpointing it and marking it’s location with blue paint, we opened the sewer manhole to see if the water from the leak could be seen.

 

In this case much of the water could be seen flowing through the sewer.
